Amal El-Mohtar is an author, editor and critic; her short fiction has won the Locus Award and been nominated for the Nebula Award, while her poetry has won the Rhysling award three times. She is the author of The Honey Month, a collection of poetry and prose written to the taste of twenty-eight different kinds of honey; a contributor to NPR Books and the LA Times; a founding member of the Banjo Apocalypse Crinoline Troubadours; and editor of Goblin Fruit, an online quarterly dedicate to fantastical poetry. Her poetry can be found in Uncanny, Stone Telling, Mythic Delirium, and Apex, while her fiction has most recently appeared in Lightspeed, Uncanny, and Ann VanderMeer’s BESTIARY anthology.
