A great column with several prominent authors contributing discussing which books would benefit from rebranding as YA novels, and which YA novels should be reissued as adult books. I agree with a lot of the suggestions.

With books being so expensive, it can be difficult to make the decision to plunk down your hard earned money without actually getting a taste of the book yourself. Suvudu to the rescue! This wonderful book site hosts 50 page Fridays, where they release 50 pages of brand new novels for you to check out. Head over to their homepage, and scroll through the options they have for you to read on the right hand side of the screen.

Sorry this week’s column is a little short. I’ve been sucked into a reading frenzy by all the lovely books I have. More reading = less internet.

From a young age she has maxed out her library card the way some people do credit cards. Ruth started reading fantasy with A Wrinkle in Time and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe — books that still occupy an honored spot on her bookshelf today. Ruth and her husband have a young son, but their house is actually presided over by a flame-point Siamese who answers, sometimes, to the name of Griffon.
