E.M. Markoff is a Latina writer from Texas now living in California. She enjoys the quiet solitude of hiking in the forest but also loves the busy hum of city life. She finds joy in a warm cup of coffee, a fantastic book that transports her to another world, music, anime, and the company of her cat, Kanoqui, whose anti-shed button is broken. Prior to becoming an author, she worked as a microbiologist testing environmental air samples. Though she enjoyed her job, she always had a love of writing short stories and so, one day, she set the first word to paper and never looked back.
